Why In-Home Care is a Game-Changer in the Northeast Metro
If you’re a busy mom with kids at home, juggling work and family schedules, or already feeling overwhelmed at the thought of adding one more appointment to your calendar—we see you. And we’ve built Moms in Motion PT with you in mind.
Driving across town with a newborn? It’s a logistical puzzle. Timing feeds, naps, and diaper changes around an appointment can feel nearly impossible—and the added stress of wondering “Will my baby cooperate?” during your session is always in the back of your mind.
Take a deep breath—we come to you.
And let’s be honest—Minnesota winters don’t make things easier. Icy roads, bundling up kids, finding parking… it’s a lot. With in-home care, you can skip all of that. No driving, no stress, no rushing out the door. Just expert care delivered right to you.
Then there’s the waiting room struggle—managing a fussy toddler or crying baby while trying to focus on your own health. When you work with us, that’s no longer a concern.
Your home becomes your space to heal. Your living room or playroom becomes your treatment space.
We make it simple, supportive, and realistic—because your care should fit your life, not the other way around.

Your session takes place in the comfort of your home and typically lasts 50-60 minutes. We bring everything needed and tailor each visit to your goals. -
Not at all! While many of our clients are postpartum, we also work with women during pregnancy, perimenopause, and beyond. Pelvic floor therapy can help at any stage of life when symptoms like pain, leaking, or core weakness are present and preventatively to prepare your body for labor and delivery.
-

Pelvic pain or pressure
Prolapse symptoms
Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
Pain with intercourse

-
Many women begin pelvic floor therapy within the first few weeks postpartum, even before their 6-week OB check. Care is always tailored to your stage of healing and comfort level. We meet you exactly where you are in your recovery. We wait to do any internal assessment or treatment until after you’ve been cleared by your provider at your 6-week check but can work on many things before that point!
-
That’s completely okay—and expected. One of the biggest benefits of in-home care is that you don’t need childcare. Your baby can nap, feed, or play nearby, and your toddler can be in the room with you. We adapt your session to your real life.
-
Not necessarily. Internal work is only done when appropriate and always with your consent. Many sessions focus on external techniques, movement, breathing, strength training, and education. We always prioritize comfort and trust.
-
Yes. Pelvic pain and painful intercourse are very common and very treatable. We take a gentle, whole-body approach to help reduce pain, improve tissue mobility, and restore comfort and confidence in movement and intimacy.
-
In-home care removes many of the barriers that make traditional pelvic floor therapy hard for moms—no driving, no childcare logistics, no waiting rooms, and no rushing. It allows for a calmer, more personalized experience where your real-life movement patterns and environment can be directly addressed.
