Our Services

Evaluation

All care starts with an in-depth review of body systems, several functional movements, and tissue quality to determine key areas to address. We perform a comprehensive breathing assessment to determine how efficiently your diaphragm, abdominals, and pelvic floor muscles are working together. We look head to toe because we want to get to the root of the problem and not simply explore symptomatic areas.

Manual Therapy

Hands on techniques used to decrease or eliminate pain, relax tight muscles and tissues, and improve mobility. Manual therapy includes soft tissue work, joint mobilization, cupping, and visceral techniques. We also use techniques such as trigger point release, deep transverse friction massage, and myofascial release.

Education

Knowledge is power and we want to help you take control of your health in all areas – mind, body, and spirit. We want to empower you to make decisions about your body and your health. We believe it is important that you understand your condition, and how your body works, in order to make an optimal recovery.

Exercise Programming

We will prescribe corrective exercises for your specific needs to help decrease pain, improve mobility, and increase strength and stability. We do not have a one-size-fits-all approach. You will receive an individualized set of exercises that is catered to what your body needs for recovery. Whether that is getting back to running postpartum or simply wanting to do daily activities without symptoms, we are ready to help! Don’t worry, we won’t leave you with a sheet of 10 exercises for homework - we are realistic and keep it to 2-3!

Birth Preparation

Improve your birth experience with education about how your pelvic floor can be impacted during labor and delivery. We teach labor positions, breathing techniques, pushing positions, pushing practice, breathing and vocalizations for pushing, comfort measures with your partner, and early postpartum expectations for healing. We offer a special birth preparation package that includes 6 visits, typically 4 prenatal and 2 postpartum. In postpartum, we fully evaluate your mobility and pelvic floor status to start you on a smooth recovery!
