    • Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction — Katie’s Story:
Katie could barely stand for more than a few minutes by 17 weeks of her third pregnancy. While working with us, she was feeling great by her third trimester! She was working full days with minimal discomfort.

    • Back and Hip Pain — Kristin’s Story:
Kristin’s back and hip pain made it hard to play with her daughter and sleep. With targeted exercises and hands-on care, she felt better after every visit and was able to make it through the end of her pregnancy with less pain. She was able to engage in play with her daughter and barely had any pain by the time she was ready to deliver.

    • Katie’s Story:
Katie was 6 months postpartum with her third baby when she reached out. She was having pelvic pain and heaviness that didn’t seem to go away no matter what she tried and seemed to be aggravated every time she would carry her baby in a carrier. Then she tried pelvic floor therapy with us at Moms in Motion. She learned to relax, mobilize, strengthen, and finally live without daily discomfort. She is back to working out and feeling great in her body!

    • Pelvic Organ Prolapse — Katie’s Story:
Katie felt heaviness and pressure after the birth of her second baby, a VBAC. She made steady progress week after week, got back into her strength training workouts, and no longer worries about heaviness or pressure.

    • C-section Recovery — Nichole’s Story:
Nichole started out with hip pain and some discomfort after her c-section. We completed scar work and strengthening exercises at each session, and she performed both between visits. She built confidence to get back into her workout routine and was running pain free by her 6th visit!

    • Tailbone Pain — Nicole’s Story:
Nicole attended a workshop at a few weeks postpartum and voiced her discomfort, but quickly writing it off as part of the postpartum healing process. After a conversation that tailbone pain is not a normal part of the healing process, she was quick to sign up for care with us. She was having pain while nursing and sitting. Within 4 months of care, she was working out regularly with no tailbone pain! She said her tailbone “just wasn’t an issue anymore”. She went on to work with us during her second pregnancy and delivered a breech baby with no tailbone pain afterwards.

    • Incontinence — Liesel’s Story:
After dealing with incontinence for 10 years after her daughter was born, Liesel didn’t think anything could help. When asked at her evaluation what she was worried about she said she didn’t think anything would work for her. She made steady changes in her habits each visit and after her internal exam, something clicked for her that never had in the past - she learned how to properly contract and relax her pelvic floor. She finally went to her martial arts class without leaking!

    • Birth Prep — Karen’s Story:
Karen has a powerful story. She had a traumatic birth with her first child that left her in pain and struggling through her second pregnancy. She worried that this delivery would make things worse and that her pain would interfere with the birth. But when she learned the power of coordinating her pelvic floor and using proper pushing techniques, she felt confident going into her birth. Afterwards she said, “During labor and each contraction, I focused on relaxing my pelvic floor and I was able to have an absolute dream birth with my 2nd baby with only 5 min of pushing!”

    • Ali’s Story:
Postpartum can be a difficult time for the bowels to regulate. Constipation is really common and not a fun journey. Ali learned that making habit changes and being intentional about her food and movement choices were keys to keeping her gut happy.

    • Kelsey’s Story:

After her second baby was born, Kelsey struggled with pelvic organ prolapse, specifically a rectocele, and it affected her ability to have consistent bowel movements. She had to splint in order to get her stools out at times, was taking Miralax and using suppositories regularly, and sex was painful. While working with us, she weaned off Miralax and suppositories, her belly pressure went away, she doesn’t have pelvic heaviness anymore, and she no longer has pain with sex!

    • Rachel’s Story:

Rachel joked that she just wanted to be able to poop without drama. But she really meant it. Splinting in order to have a bowel movement is not a fun thing to rely on. She was skeptical that pelvic floor therapy would work for her, but after a few sessions, she was amazed at the difference it made. We worked on stress management, breathing techniques, hands on release work to her posterior pelvic floor muscles, and coordination exercises. She no longer needs to splint to have a bowel movement!

    • Lisa:
A few months after getting married, Lisa knew she had to do something if she was going to achieve penetrative intercourse with her husband. She reached out to Moms in Motion PT and was committed to the process. She made slow but steady process as we worked through her tissues, her nervous system, and her brain-body connection. After a year of working together, she now has minimal to no pain during sex!

What sets Moms in Motion PT apart from “traditional” pelvic floor therapy?

Holistic and whole body approach - we look at the root cause of your symptoms, not just the symptoms themselves. You are more than just a pelvis and many pelvic health symptoms are caused by or largely contributed to by factors outside the pelvis.

We meet you where you are - literally and figuratively. We are mobile, so we treat you in the comfort of your own home, and we also cater our sessions to your specific needs - no cookie cutter approach with us. You won’t get the same homework as other patients.

One-hour treatment sessions in the comfort of your own home - our sessions are one-on-one with a trained pelvic floor therapist. We take the time to truly listen to what is going on with your body, and our goal is that you never feel rushed through a session.

We see you through past symptom resolution - getting rid of symptoms is just the first half of the battle. As seen above, we get to the root cause instead of just chasing symptoms. Then we help you build resilience in your body so your symptoms stay away for good.

We’re pelvic floor specialists helping women in all life phases feel strong, supported, and symptom-free—with one-on-one, in-home, holistic care.
